First of all calling you want to look around the room and see if there’s a particular theme going on. Perhaps the room is decorated in a certain color or has some sort of characters or theme to it that you can easily find children’s bedding to match. For example if you’re kids room has a Star Wars theme you might want to look into getting Star Wars bedding to enhance that look.

There are many different themes that are suitable for childrens rooms and if you haven’t repainted and redecorated yet you might want to choose the bedding first and décorate your child’s room around the theme of the bedding. this could be something fun like dinosaurs or even characters from TV or cartoons. Of course, you want to choose something that your child likes and it can even be fun to have them pick out the children’s bedding that they like best.

If you’re not going to decorate and you’re just looking for childbearing to match the room one thing you want to take into consideration is the primary colors of the room. You don’t want the bedding to clash or blend too much with the wall colors and the other predominant colors that are in your child’s room.

One rule of thumb when choosing bedding for your child’s room is to pick betting that has one of its secondary colors the same as that of the wall color. This way the bedding will work to enhance the colors in the room. If you pick bedding that is the same color as the walls you will have too much of that color and the bed will blend in instead of standing on its own like it should.

When you were shopping for a child’s bedding you might want to bring a paint swatch or one of those little paint sample cards that you get at the home improvement store so that you can use it to match up the wall color with a different colors in the pattern of the bedding.

Once you’ve picked your coverlet or bedspread, you want to pick sheets and pillows that play off the colors and patterns of the top spread. It’s okay to put a pattern with a pattern like stripes with dots or plaids, but you don’t want to many patterns to be competing for your attention so sometimes it’s best just to go with plain colored sheets if you bedspread is a busy pattern.

The child bedding you pick for your kids room can really enhance the look and make the room a fun place to be so you want to spend a little bit of time selecting it to be sure that you get something you can both live with for years to come.
