Even with all the cubbyholes war is an extra hangers in a closet organizer, your clothes will not stay organized if you don’t put them back in the proper place.
Here’s some closet organization tips that will help you keep your closet functional and beautiful.
Out With The Old
Go through your entire closet and get rid of the stuff that you don’t wear. If you haven’t worn something in two years the chances that you can wear it again are pretty slim. I know you really want to keep that size two pair of genes that you wore in high school, but now 10 years later do you really think you’re going to fit into them?
Colorcode Them
When you put it clothes away in the closet, you might want to try organizing them by color. This way you can easily find out white blouse to go with those black pants. Another system you might try to use is to put the clothes that you wear most often closer at hand and the ones you wear less frequently towards the back of the closet. Organizing your closet using some sort of system will make it easier when you put your clothes away.
Don’t Overload It
Overloading a closet with too many clothes will make it very difficult to keep organized. a good rule of some is that when you buy somethingg new you must discard an older garment of the same type. If you buy a new blouse then throw out another older blouse that you hardly ever wear or that you don’t like that much. It’s important for organization purposes to not have your closet crammed too full of clothes. Plus if the close can in with some space in between each other they will not get wrinkled in the closet.
Develop Good Habits
Keeping a closet organized is simply a matter of developing good habits when putting your clothes away. If you have organized your clothes using some sort of system then you will make it a lot easier on yourself to know where to put back the clothes once you’ve cleaned them or worn them. for example, if you were organizing your clothes by color and you are putting away a yellow sweater, you simply go to the yellow section where the sweaters are hanging and hang up. It’s important to get in the habit of putting your clothes away as soon as you get them back from the cleaners, out of the dryer or when you take them off at night so they don’t sit around in a big pile.
Closet organization doesn’t have to be difficult, it’s really a matter of instilling a new habit in yourself. once you get this down to a science, you’ll be glad you did as it will take all the stress out of finding clothes in your closet.
